Liza and Patrick participated in the Carbon Literacy Training organised by ABTA. During this training, they explored best practices and innovative solutions that tour operators, destinations, and transport companies have been implementing to create a positive impact on the environment. They also delved into the various challenges the industry encounters, particularly in the area of data collection for carbon accounting. This included discussing the complexities of gathering accurate and comprehensive data, the difficulties in standardizing measurement across different regions and companies, and the technological and logistical hurdles that need to be overcome to improve the accuracy and efficiency of carbon tracking and reporting.
